INSIDE THE COLLECTION
The Pre-Spring 2017 collection infuses classic silhouettes with casual confidence. In his sophomore collection for GREY, Jason further explores the task of dressing his closest friends and finding the delicate balance between refined and sophisticated looks and the more laid-back ethos of GREY. Once again, Jason exercised his inspiration for artistic collaboration, this time by weaving the work of artist Lara Hodulick throughout the collection. For Pre-Spring 2017, Lara’s influence is reflected in embroidery and abstract laces and cheerful prints. Jason found Lara on Instagram and was captivated by her Matisse-inspired, hand-painted silk blouses. Jason explains, “I was incredibly inspired by the playful yet sophisticated and refined nature of Lara’s work.” Lara’s artwork tastefully accents clever details and considered fabrics. The color palate combines the subtlety of shell white, bone and cinder mélange with black and pops of scarlet. Cozy knits, silk cocktail dresses and irresistibly stylish jackets are sure to be staples at every holiday party this season.
